Mermaid Inktober Process Post
Added 2019-10-12 18:00:02 +0000 UTCThis piece is my favourite so far! I kept it black and white because I’ve learned from my previous pieces that sometimes it’s better to keep it simple.
The hair is an ink wash, which requires lots of water, and I'm using a mixed media cardstock paper. This paper doesn't pick up water well and all and warps really easily. I learned from previous washes and this time it went better than expected. Paper barely warped and I had an even coating of ink! Huzzah!
I added lots of gold accents to give it that POP so it’s still as interesting as it would be with colour.
