2023-05-24 20:15:15 +0000 UTCI grew up in Massachusetts close to Boston and going to the beach was something that my family would do each year. The movie came out in June of 75 right before the summer beach season and it did have an impact on beach goers especially because filming was on Martha's Vineyard off of Cape Cod. I remember seeing news stories of many sharks sighting so much that the local tv stations had shark experts on the nightly news where these experts were trying to calm fears in people by explaining the difference in different species of sharks especially the so called " killer sharks"...
