I feel like the reason many kids talk back to their parents is because of a lack of mutual respect. Like the interaction between Sehyen and his father, the moment man’s came in the room and slapped him across the face any possibility of a civil conversation went out the window. I know you weren’t talking about him specifically but it’s a good example. If a kid feels like they’re not being heard, like their parent has no consideration for what they want or who they are as person, it’s only normal to act out (tbh Sehyen shows his dad more respect then he deserves lol). Nine times out of ten it’s on the parent, they set the example after all. if they showed a little respect and understanding that would open the door for real communication. The parent is the adult here, kids need to be nurtured, not suffocated.

Everyone isn't a fighter(verbally or physically), or in his case seems to be both and guess what, that is perfectly ok. sucks he feels bad for not being a fighter. like we're real friends over here, nobody judging u cuz u aren’t a fighter like them. doesn't make u any less of a friend/less valuable. they got his back just like he has been having their back in his own way. 👏 Props to Gamin for trying to help him but not directly interfering so he could fight on his own.

2025-03-12 04:45:55 +0000 UTCTotally understand the parenting thing. It has to do with the fact that for most kids, they know their parents will never hit them or hurt them when they speak up. It is quite selfish, and mean, but that just means they are still quite young. They know that their parent loves them despite that, still make em lunch the next day, just maybe give the silent treatment. To speak up in front of a bully, they just know they are going to get hurt and they can't back it up. I'm glad though that Sehyeon wants to be able to back it up, himself too!
