I haven't watched Gangnam b-side so I definitely will be watching these reactions soon! Im still catching up with Vincenzo rn (I'm late I know lol). As for romcoms...theyre not hitting this yr for me personally 😭 Queen of tears was good though, but I haven't watched twinkling...Im surprised no one has recommended mr queen yet. That was funny too (but I was confused at times haha) also idk if it would be considered romcom 🤔 Im more of a thrillers/horror fan and Im probably gonna keep repeating this rec cause I definitely think you'll like it (even if you wanna watch it on your own) which is The Devil Judge...I was locked in every episode! Till the end! It's set in a dystopian-ish society and has a great plot and such great acting! Strangers from Hell is also a good horror with some great acting.

I haven't watched World of the Married but what you said about it just reminds me of what Bris was saying about how affairs in Romance genres is what makes them popular lol! Still not sure I want to watch that one yet tbh but I do have it on my watch list.

2024-12-09 15:47:33 +0000 UTCOut of all the romance K-dramas I can think of that have been mentioned in these chats I think you might like Queen of Tears but it's been a while since I watched it so not 100% sure. But that's the only one I can think of that probably doesn't have anything in it that would annoy you. I could be wrong though lol! I really like the way they started it off and how the storyline develops. The humor is good too. Honestly I was surprised when you chose to react to Love Next Door especially after your reaction to Lovely Runner lol! I def knew you would find a lot of things in there to be annoyed about lol! I'd also recommend Atypical Family. It's Sci-Fi and has an interesting plot about a family with powers.

I agree with you 💯 I don’t get why everyone was recommending it but yeah it a good drama but I don’t think it’s something to do a reaction about and plus it bris. From his other reactions and stuff this is definitely something his gonna be confused about I mean it a time travel drama and with title itself it gonna get complicated. So I recommend taxi driver and queen of tears of course. Been recommended taxi for a while now and still can’t believe it wasn’t even on bris top 2 🥲 hope you will check it out soon with squid game 😁👍

No offence to those who liked it , it was an interesting story I just got bored halfway through and knowing how you are , I have been following you from day 1 I know for sure you will feel very “meh” about it too. If it’s between just those 2 then I’d prefer we do Queen of Tears, I loved it from start to finish. Yes we are doing a little bit of gore and action lately but I like that we have been balancing that with some romance.

That’s why I didn’t watch Love Next Door, my demon, and king of the land. The plots are just too obvious and boring, to be honest. I would NOT recommend Twinkling Watermelon. I don’t even understand why people are hyping it up. IT’S A TIME-TRAVEL KDRAMA. Trust me, you will be so confused. It has great actors, and the plot is okay, but it’s not a good pick for reactions. I thought people already knew you’re not a fan of time-travel dramas. Atleast not for now, you would want to a break from it. You’ve done a few before, and they always have major plot holes and confusion. PLEASE give Queen of Tears a try. I was genuinely impressed! The plot is solid, it has comedy, the acting is PERFECT, and the romance is there. Just grab a box of tissues, and we’re good! 😂💗 The main actor in Queen of Tears, Kim Soo-hyun, has a track record of starring in highly successful dramas. He’s known for picking projects that showcase his incredible acting range and resonate with audiences. Some of his past hits include My Love from the Star, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, and The Moon Embracing the Sun. All of these were massive successes, both domestically and internationally. Another must-watch K-drama is The World of the Married. I swear bris it will have you on the edge of your seat … holy shit.. shibal! It follows a seemingly perfect couple whose lives unravel after an affair is exposed, leading to a web of lies, manipulation, and shocking twists. It’s raw, real, and impossible to stop watching. As someone who knows your taste, I’d say just give it a try after Squid Game and Queen of Tears and uncanny counter s2. My 3rd and final recommendation is Taxi Driver. Bris, I can already see you laughing and enjoying it because it’s so FUNNY and has AMAZING ACTION. The main actor is just… daebak! The drama blends every theme you can think of, the actor takes on all kinds of roles, which is so cool to watch. There’s also a hint of romance, but it leans more towards action and comedy. Trust me, it’s such a fun ride! I’ve been watching K-dramas for 15 years, so I totally get where you’re coming from about newer dramas. They’re so overhyped, and the plots often suck. They rely on great actors and good kissing scenes, but there’s not much else. I feel like it’s because a lot of younger viewers are the target audience now, but idk, man.
