I think the reason why they go harder on the singers that sing better, i think its because they actually see it going somewhere and truly want to push them further. it sucks but i think that's why they go softer on the ones that don't cause they might think its not worth it... which I think is sick but yeah....

One person's performance will be called powerful while a black person's will be aggressive. The thing is, for Naisha's dance, it comes off as too much, too much power where you can't see each and every move clearly. And you mentioned black people having the jazzy style infused in their dance for visual sake. That's not what they want, especially in kpop where they are like clones. I can see why they used the words aggressive, but there are better ways to put it that doesn't feel like a target. You know how ahyeon from babymon got flak for her dance... She would be like subtle then SHARP then subtle then SHARP and it just didn't suit the song, the rest of her team, she was really doing too much. People described her as too powerful, outdoing her members. I am personally one of those people but I KNOW they wouldn't describe ahyeon as aggressive the way they did Naisha.

It's good to push people when they need a push, and support someone when they need support, but give a little bit of both to everyone, not one or the other to some.

2024-09-06 21:06:23 +0000 UTCthey dropped this after their debut but they did do this as a survival show so last year they put out performances and there was voting for the final 6 contestants but it wasn’t like a regular survival show bc they didn’t show any behind the scenes so this documentary was to show all those behind the scenes from the past 2 years

I have a lot of mean (yet constructive) things to say about the vocals coming out of the industry right now and it’s because I honestly feel bad for these unprepared *teenage* girls. I hate that they called Naisha’s dancing “aggressive”, but since she doesn’t have technical training, her dancing can come off as “messy” (for lack of a better term?) to those with a dancer’s eye. I may be a little biased since I did ballet but yeah…
