Buddhism is the 2nd largest religion in South Korea after Christianity and the symbol means good fortune and auspicious, the symbol is on a lot of Buddhist temples in Korea and Japan. The necklace was mainly to show viewers that knife guy was one the guys the up and coming gang was trying to recruit but I guess it also means he’s Buddhist too lol
