I just realized all the typos & lack of clarity in my post when you read it back out loud. First let me just say that married then divorced black momma of 4 four grown kids & a mentalhealth professional & councilor. My comment was 💯 disagreeing with your research data you were quoing, trying to tell me a female what what I want. As well as pointing out the vast majority of research is biased & skewed due to so many, many factors, race & gender being one of them. I gave you that example because yes you're as black as am I and to demonstrate how wrong it can be.

You saw her one scene where she floated in her face, after all rhe years of emotional, mental and physical abuse she took and now she's not your fave no more !? 👀Also just fyi...psychologist used to (some still do) believe that black men are uniquely fitted for slavery, and that they diagnosed them with schizophrenia because they resisted. Alot of research is cap & bias.

2024-05-16 04:31:31 +0000 UTCJust to clarify, Ji-won hasn't really changed a lot. She has just become more comfortable defending herself and the new future that she is making for herself. At the wedding she gave Min-hwan that notice that she is suing him because he is only marrying Su-min to get the monetary gifts (money) from the guests to pay off his debt. When she went and talked to Su-min, I think Ji-won knew that Su-min was crazy enough to think that Ji-won was jealous that they were getting married and she said that to make her want to do it even more. Also the friends that showed up at the wedding, Ji-won did not tell them to do that. Those were her bullies from back in highschool and they learned about how Su-min tricked them into thinking she was a boyfriend stealer but telling them that Ji-won took Eun-ho away from her which was not true. They wanted to make up for it so whe Eun-ho "accidentally" showed them the invitation to Su-min and Min-hwans wedding, they decided that was the perfect time to embarrass Su-min for doing exactly what she told them Ji- won did to her in high school which they now knew was not true. When it comes to the writing, as someone who wants to be a writer/ producer, it isn't that great like you said but it still makes sense. The fianceé thing I don't like either but they need Ji-won to have that one last huge hurtle before she gets her happy ending with Ji-hyuk. The fianceé is who sent those photo's to Su-min and she told Min-hwan. Then Su-min reached out to Ji-wons mother and I think she told her about how Ji-won was with a rich man which was not true anymore. Thats why the mother came in so late to this show. She is not a super important character and i'm glad they didn't bring her in earlier because she is just a means to an end and not the main focus. She is pushing the motive of Su-min and Min-hwan and how angry they are with Ji-won for pushing them off onto each other. The fianceé is the middle man helping those two try and get revenge on Ji-won for "touching/ taking what's hers (Ji-hyuk)". The mother was just there to be selfish. I know you also like Eun-ho but I am glad she is not with him because their romance had passed. When he came back into her life she always saw him as a friend, even when she tried to see him as more. Considering her mom's past, she saw that she was leading him on and letting him fall for her in a one sided relationship and made the decision to let him know gently that she was not interested in that way but still valued him in her life. This is all leading to a much better ending I think. I see what the writers are aiming for. They are not doing the best job of getting to the ending they will do but I think the ending is going to be satisfying. And lastly guys lets not forget that Su-min and Min-hwan were planning to KILL HER while she had CANCER. As someone who has a family with a long line of cancer diagnosis, I can literally never forgive those two for choosing each other over someone who is not only seriously ill and their "friend" but planning to take her life early on even though she had a short time to live anyway. CRAZY!! Lol sorry for my rant but enjoy the show y'all!

2024-05-15 11:24:07 +0000 UTCThe whole point of Jiwon getting a second chance is because she was so naive or "innocent" (as you put it) and desperate for a family that she let her best friend, her boyfriend, and other people step all over her. So I thought the whole point of this drama was for her to get a second chance and change a little from being that way?? So I don't get why your so confused that she's trying to be a little different and not make the same mistakes. Maybe it's because you still think she brought those bullies to get revenge on Sumin at the wedding is that why? Because you're making it sound like she's turning into a bad person when all she told Sumin at her wedding was "congratulations for picking up my trash" LOL! She said that to her before and you didn't have a problem with it then lol! I mean I could be wrong but I think when you start getting a little bored/impatient with little things you start talking a lot or looking away and you miss stuff that might explain or clear up important parts of the plot that you think are "messy". It may seem weird to you that they are introducing new characters but your forgetting that Mr. Yu's fiance never really had much interest in him until she found out about the other woman. Remember he was reminding his grandad that she never visited them like how she's viising his grandad now all of a sudden. And Jiwon makes it clear that her mother didn't have any interest in her until now. So it doesn't really bother me that they are just now introducing these characters. I'm not sure that scene with her mom was meant to be all that dramatic and heart breaking. Underdogs? Really?? LOL! Anyway everyone's entitled to their opinion I get it. We can agree to disagree lol. Sorry for the long drawn out comments....I just couldn't help myself. Your reactions are fun and engaging as always.

That part about Jiwon being overly dramatic about him breaking off the engagement when he came back to life in 2013 kind of annoyed me too when I watched it at first. But I think it's more about trying to see it from Jiwon's perspective. I think b/c of her childhood trauma watching her mom leave her dad like that probably messed her up we all react and cope with things differently I guess. Also I think the girl the manager's husband is cheating with is just one of the employees of her parent's restaurant.
