When dynamite came out, my mum was having surgery. So I was kinda conflicted with whether to listen to it or not because if something had happened to my mum during the operation, the song would haunt me. So I remember waiting until I heard from the doctors that her surgery was a success. Unfortunately we couldn’t go see her because there were visiting restrictions during Covid. But this song brings happiness to me because my mum is now happy and healthy.

2023-12-30 20:59:07 +0000 UTCI agree with you as far as linking to women because I guarantee you that when they return from the military they will be in their 30s and late 20s and will be ready to be in a relationship unless they wanna wait until they are done with music, but regardless what decisions they make we SHOULD and MUST respect their privacy and relationships. True ARMY fans should understand.

I think about the segment of ARMY that obsess about " ships" or refuse to let go of the need to cast them as little boys or just go bezerk if any of the members are linked to a woman. How dominant are these sections of ARMY? I am old, 72, I remember when Bob Dylan went from acoustic guitar to electric or when Joni Mitchell went from folk to jazz music. Fans threw stuff at them in their concerts. But, both of these artists are still creating art and have not got stuck in time. I hope the heated, toxic element of BTS's fan base will not rule the day. As I saud, I am old, the Rolling Stones, a band that dominated my teen years, released new music this year. Bruce Springsteen, who is basically my age, continues to evolved creatively and perform. I believe that BTS could still be creating and performing in 40 years if we allow them to change. One more thing, we don't know how their military experiences will effect them. Injuries are possible and please God no, but actual warfare is possible. PTSD is real. I refuse to romanticize their military experiences. I hope that no officer decides to mentally or physically abuse any of them which is a problem in the South Korean military. The "reports" we get almost daily on how the guys are doing are suspicious and probably are not true. It is clear that the President and some of the leaders of Korea are using BTS to boost the popularity of military service to offset the public's interest in a full time professional volunteer army.
