Yes, it's not just a non-fps game, but a point-and-click from the depths of the mid-90's, where there were no rules. I've wanted to do this game for a while. It's another one that's been on my "October" list. You could argue that this isn't horror but you're wrong. I was filled with dread playing this and trying to get a decent ending... until Ted's chapter where I was just annoyed.

BEHIND THE SCENES STUFF (INCLUDES EPISODE SPOILERS)

I only vaguely knew where this episode was going to end up after finishing the last one. I knew there'd be evil plantlife because I've already done evil meat. This is the kind of bleak storyline/ending I can only do when the video's subject matter is so rough.

Everything is red now. For this episode.

Throughout the scripting process I wanted to make Civvie's tortures impersonal and have the Department of Special Corrections generally have no interest in what happens to him. While AM would take a special interest in his captives, the DoSC doesn't really care. Oh, arm has an infection? Here's a hacksaw, deal with it. There's more important stuff to worry about.

I made the terrain for this "hell" section a while ago (complete with lava pool for Civvie to sit in) and have been waiting to use it. Just had to add some extra stuff - namely Baltimore, the directional sign, the castle from the Symphony of the Night chapter titles, mountains, and fire.

The hacksaw bit was added in later than everything else because I wanted some gore. I tried making a 3D model of my hand but I suck at that. Instead, we get one of the rare "live-action" bits where I tie strings around my hand, slather it in different sauces, shoot it, color correct it, and make it look way better than I expected.

POV: Your hand is going to smell like condiments for at least 24 hours.

As I'm not a live-action YouTuber, I don't have a green screen, but any odd color will work, so my gf's pinkish-purple yoga mat got a little barbeque sauce on it.

The hacksaw is entirely real and left some scratches. The footage is played at 2x speed to look worse than it really is.

The whole ending of this video took about three days of work to put together. Starting with the fire tunnel:

Simple rotating cylinder with a camera run through it. Sharp-eyed viewers may recognize the cigarette burns I used in the last vid that I made pulse and transition through it.

Remember: Halloween is never over because after this is the Cultic: Chapter 2 video. Horror never stops.
