PRO NUKEM 3D: THE BIRTH

Once you've gone through that disaster, you really don't want to touch the character again for a while, as if he's radioactive, which explains why Take Two isn't doing anything with him (#FreeDuke). I promise there's enough Randy Pitchford hate in this video especially after his most recent debacle which hit the internet while I was in the middle of writing this video. Good timing, Randy, you greasy bastard!
Hope you're all keeping safe and healthy during quarantine. I've had people apologizing for deleting their pledges and I wanted to tell all of you not to worry about it. If you have to unpledge because you were laid off, furloughed, or whatever, it is way more important to look after yourself first at a time like this.
FUTURE EDIT: I did not actually know that you can run up behind pigcop tanks and press the use key on them to activate a self-destruct even though I've played this game for 20 years. The video has been edited and re-uploaded to reflect this.

I played the original 3D back when I was a kid, but only played episode 4 like a year ago, and holy shit that last level is so bad. I'm positive the boss being underwater was there purely as an extra "challenge" cause I died to drowning more than the queen.

2020-04-09 04:05:14 +0000 UTCThat randy's The Queen level, I think it's "based on" (more like, repurposed) multiplayer level, at least i remember seeing it in BUILD/Mapster back in the day, it was (or is) supposed to be a level for a DukeTag mode, never played multiplayer, but textures suggest it's something like capture the flag or variant of unreal tournament's assault game mode, with teams scoring and team's structures being compromised (there are textures like "team gate open!" or something) which explains the symmetrical "copy-pasted" design, and also - get this - teams are brown and green, which matches the map colors, what a distinctive and contrasting colors to pick for your team-based game mode! if i understand correctly, map was designed so that one team has to blow up other reactor, open up gates and capture flag or something, which also explains the alien lava - it's probably a shortcut or obstacle that requires you to have protective boots to make it through to the other team's core or something.
