Site Update: 27 July 2018
Added 2018-07-27 13:35:12 +0000 UTCWell, things didn’t go exactly to plan this week, but I’m happy with the results anyway.
I’d sort of planned for a “serious” story and a “fun” story for this update, and I started first on the “fun” story, a continuation of “From the Files of the Magic Misuse Office.” Except somehow I found myself getting more and more into the latest stage of warlock-investigator Liam O’Brien’s case against the apparently reckless, extremely advanced, and incredibly cute Judsons. As a result I ended up producing three new chapters (weighing in at 10 thousand plus words) over the two days I had free for writing this week. Suddenly the “fun” story was edging toward the “serious” side of things, and as I didn’t really have the time or the creative jetfuel left to delve into something that’s actually supposed to be that involved, I ended up working on a side-tale for “Mutation” that I started and set aside ages ago. So… I still have two stories for you this week—they’re just not at all what I had planned. Which is weird, because it was the last update that smacked up against Friday the 13th, not this one. Unless… maybe Friday the 13th sows disarray and undone plans in its wake, which means the following update would be the one affected. Occultists, Kabbalists, and Cthulhuphiles, what say you?
Lots more new stuff too with this update. I hope you enjoyed the flashback last week—I may start doing that on a regular basis just so there’s some kind of new post every week, alternating between flashbacks and new stuff.
