Replace all oops moment
Added 2017-06-29 12:31:34 +0000 UTCI'm nearly done with a new story for Friday's update called “Hard to Hide”, and in the spirit of behind-the-scenes trivia I thought I'd share a goof:
I have a (not-quite-normal-human) character in this story that I initially gave amber eyes. Later I decided to change it, partly because it didn't fit, partly because our friend the Fallgate wolf in “Among Us” has amber eyes that are both very pretty and important to the plot.
I decided to make this character’s eyes red-gold and did a global replace in Word. This morning, glancing through the story so far for things to polish or fix, I noticed the results of my global replace:
Slowly, he clred-golded to his feet and headed for the door…
Moral of the story: *stage whisper* Replace All is not always your friend :)
