Young-ro is kinda dead inside rn tbh so she's not really thinking about who she likes. She just wants to help them all get out of there safely since she feels guilty for putting everyone in that situation in first place 😔 again, she only allowed herself to like sooho bc she thought he was rlly just a protester so ...

I am not in the place to tell Koreans how to feel about this show. However, I do think that this show does a really good job at portraying the ANSP as the evil villains they were in real life. Yes it could be more accurate but it's on television so I'm assuming they don't want to shoot too many graphic scenes. On top of the majority of the drama is about the election and the hostage situation. They have various character state and repeatedly say that the ANSP frames innocent people as spies and communists in order to torture, kill, and hurt them (just like in real life). I understand how some might not like that the two ANSP Agents (Agent Kangmoo and Agent Jang) are teaming up to save the students. But the writers have stated that these characters don't actually represent the real-life organizations they're a part of. To me the two Agents aren’t “good guys” just because they save students. They actively were still a part of an organization that was violent and oppressive. Kangmoo has to help the students because he's gonna die. We saw Taeil state that they were gonna kill him because he knows the truth. Same with Agent Jang, she's in love with Kangmoo and joined the ANSP for him. Why wouldn't she help save him/the students? This makes them morally grey characters. Yeah I want for them to save the students but I still don't think they're good people. Same with Youngro’s father mourning his son. Like evil characters can be well rounded and still bad people. They can have various emotions. It's what makes them compelling. Youngro’s dad is still terrible because of the evil he's done. It's a fictional story which allows you to portray different emotions. It's not a documentary. That's my only thing, they aren't trying to have you root or sympathize with evil characters just understand their actions whether it's good or bad and you don't have to accept it or forgive them.
