I'm just now watching your reactions to this and it's crazy how at this point TXT was only out for a year. They accomplished so much in such a short time it's hard to remember how young this group is. Also I'm sure you get it by now but the fan vote is hugely important because at the end of the day you need to be likable. Likability is a huge part of Kpop culture so the most perfect idol can still come off cold which turns people off. People like the aces Heeseung, K, etc can only go so far. Just like how you immediately fell for Sunoo, that was people's reaction to him throughout the whole show. He was the one that was consistently popular among fans and on top of that he's a strong singer and fits the idol image which is why I believe Bang PD chose Sunoo over K in the end. I think people who say Sunoo was just popular kind of sells him short because he was like 17 on this show, he had a lot of room to grow and was showing that growth well aside from being a stronger singer. I actually prefer Sunoo's voice the most in ENHYPEN and if he pulls a Seokjin and continues to work on his voice (BTS mentioned Jin works on his voice the most) then in two years he will be a top singer in Kpop.

I find it really nice that they included the global votes and didn't didn't have the decisions only based on the producers views. To me, who should be in the final groups should not only be based on their skills, there are more factors that have to go into that in my opinion so, plainly put, the good stages are not the only thing that make a good idol because as a fans that's not the only thing that you'll watch. You'll be following all of their variety shows that they bring out too. I for example am a huge army and though I obviously love their music and watch their stages regularly what I tend to watch more is Run BTS and Bon Voyage because they make me laugh and I love their personalities and that's what made me stay. So though skills are very important I also think that the boys' personalities/vibe/charisma also play a big role. Personally when I become a fan of a group it's not just because they are good but also because the members make me laugh and they just have that little something about themselves that makes me want to follow them. Another huge factor is also their ability to improve. (plz don't take the next part as hate bc I absolutely love all of the boys) Take K and Sunoo for example. K has been really good from the beginning on but throughout the episodes I have not seen much of an improvement from him while if you watch Sunoo's first and last stage you'll see a huge difference. In regards to Sunoo, he was really good from the beginning on although he had one of the shortest training periods there, made it to i-land in the first episode and always got high scores and praises from the producers and only was in Ground because the i-landers kept voting him out. On top of that he improved a lot AND he is also funny and charismatic so to me he really deserved to have a high rank. Same goes for Daniel. I also don't think he was really bragging about being 1st, he even tried to hide his happiness when it got announced out of respect for the others. And quite frankly I think everyone would have been as exited as he was if they were 1st especially after spending so much time in ground. What bothered me instead was the other guys who weren't happy for hum and kept saying that they deserved a higher rank than him. So all im trynna say is I don't think I would have scanned the group as much if it was only based on the producers pick bc as much as they are professionals they don't know what the fans look for. Only time I was disappointed in the global votes was when k got eliminated :( hope you don't take that as hate bris! I most definitely love your reactions and I know that everyone can and is allowed to have different opinions

2021-11-01 21:52:55 +0000 UTCI'm reacting to your reaction. I agree that the voting is a bit weird but i feel like Sunoo deserved a high spot. He was and is the underdog fr. The voting was based off the what the voters wanted. He may not be as good at singing like Heeseung or good at dancing like K or Niki, but he is talented and has a nice personality. I feel like if I was Sunoo and I came from the ground to being first place I'd brag a bit too (even though i feel like he wasn't, it was just the editing), cuz lets not forget most of those people voted him out twice.

I hate how everyone thinks he’s not much when he definitely is. In the first episode they voted him off because he had “no character” but I felt like that’s shouldn’t have mattered because his performance was one of the best out of all the units. I agree with you completely with that fact that Sunoo was never inferior to anyone especially because he always got good scores from the producers, it was the i-landers who really wanted to keep the originals there because they spent more time together. I was happy that Sunoo was the underdog though because we was able to continue to grow without the pressure of everyone thinking he was #2 to Heeseung. Everyone was hating on him throughout all of I-land when most of the trainees there could barely sing. Now I know the ones who was talking mess about him are choking on their words now that he is part of Enhypen and is a great fit in the group.

2020-12-03 05:14:18 +0000 UTCI remember before this episode came out a lot of people were saying they vote for Sunoo to make sure he gets into iland, because the ilanders send him to the ground everyone panicked and made multiple accounts to save him, same thing for Daniel, if you wondered why they got high rank.

I heard there will also be a girl version iland survival show in 2021, but idk if that's for sure.

He's just being himself, he's bubbly and his personality naturally and innocence naturally attracts audience. Amongst those 12, my rank for Sunoo would be #2 and Heeseung #1. Sunoo shouldn't be lower than #2. A lot people tend to forget that producers always give him high scores. People think he doesnt deserve to be in the top and I think that was influenced by the fact that Sunoo was mostly in the GROUND. But why was he always in the GROUND? It's because the ilanders always voted him out, because they wanted to save their other friends even though their score was way lower than Sunoo (e.g. Seon). The producers never sent him off to the ground, in fact he always got high scores from them. Thats why I think producers and global voting is better than ilanders voting. Because ilanders vote mostly based on who their friends are. Sunoo in the 1st episode got 22 votes out of 23 from the ilanders at the entrance test, then they voted him out when he was too shy to be friends with other people. In the 2 hours that ilanders could decide the 4 to vote out, they started making friends and that influenced the voting. To me that was kind of hypocrite. But then Sunoo got chosen by the producers to go up to i-land once again. They did FIRE and Sunoo got the 5th highest score out of 12 people. They even showed the scores to all ilanders and still people voted him out and saved people that did poorly or weren't in the Top 6 to stay in iland because they are friends with each other (e.g. Seon, Geonu). He was chosen to be one of the 2 vocal representative for the GROUND and Zico and Pdogg praised his vocals. So I don't understand why a lot of people see Sunoo that inferior. To me he's #2 place after Heeseung. You always talk about vocals and stuff. Sunoo has better vocals than the other people who are the original ilanders and always loved by people because they are good dancers (e.g. K, if you can actually hear, K doesnt have good vocals, but people don't see it that way because they see how good of a dancer and choreographer he is).
