If it wasn't for me liking Jay and watching one of his MV's back in 2015 I would have never been introduced to a lil K-pop band called BTS lol j/k. Or should I saw I wouldn't have been introduced to them as early as I was. On the real though I was watching a MV of Jay's and on the side bar on YouTube was a recommend MV that peeked my interest which was in June of 2015 and that MV was for Dope. So Thank You again Oppa Jay for introducing me in a way, to BTS I've been a fan of BTS since watching the Dope MV. But I was a fan of Jay first, so even though I am a hip hop head and love BTS's Rap Line (the rap line is my bias all 3 of them) I will always have a special place in my heart for Jay Park. I love his R&B side and he has an amazing singing voice but his rawness of his raps is amazing. When he did that freestyle on Sway. It was amazing. And I love it when Sway gets that twinkle in his eyes when he finds a hyena lol. Hip Hop/R&B will always be my first love. My dad loved Motown so I grew up listening to Marvin Gay, Al Green, Freddy Jackson, The Jackson 5, Aretha Franklin, Pattie LaBella, and Diana Ross with and without the Supremes(many others). I was born the same year as Jay so when mid to late 90's were happening and even though I was still young I loved the rhythm of Wutang's NY style hip hop. The beats and the way they sounded was so dope to me. Then being from Houston Texas we had that Southern Dirty "Candy Dipped" Rap style like UGK, Pall Wall, Chamillionare or Screwed out style thanks to the late great Dj Screw....Hell Beyonce is from H-town lol. Even though I wasn't really into screw style I still had love cause it came from Houston. And to see everyone that came from Texas basically started with The Geto Boys and now the newest being Travis Scott. Then to find out Drake would come stay in Houston for the summer when he was a kid was so dope for me Just gave me even more pride in my city. Houston Strong baby!!! Sorry went off on a tangent about my city. I love the reactions Bris!!! I do enjoy you reacting to Jay. I can't wait until he starts to get more buzz in his own home country the good ol' USA. He deserves it and I was so proud when I found out he was signed to ROC Nation!!! BEYOND DOPE, first Asian American to do soo! Big ups Jay!!!!!
