The Accident - Part 1

Dr Smith nodded, doing his best to look sympathetic. “She won’t even do you the courtesy of taking responsibility for her actions,” he said.
“Exactly!” said the client. “How do you accidentally cheat on your husband? She’s acting as if it was just some little mistake! As if I should have gotten over it by now! And then… I found out from a private investigator that she went to visit a divorce lawyer.”
“I see...”
“Mia’s the one who cheated on me, and now she’s trying to get a divorce? It’s ridiculous! And she’ll try and get full custody of our daughter, I’m sure of it. She always has to be the one in control. I can’t… I can’t let that happen. I can’t let her break our family apart.”
“Of course you can’t, Richard,” said Dr Smith patiently. “Coming to me was exactly the right thing to do.”
“Michael told me what you were able to do to his… for his wife,” said Richard.
“I’m glad he put you on to me,” Dr Smith said, smiling mechanically. “Businesses like mine survive on referrals. Shall we get started then? What age did you have in mind?”
“I’m sorry?”
“Your wife’s new mental age.”
“Oh… Well, I’m not really sure. I suppose I’d like her to be a bit older than our daughter. She’s four. That way she can be like a big sister to her.”
“Ah,” said Dr Smith, “I’m afraid that would be a little too old. Having her be the big sister isn’t going to be practical. Three is really as high as I can go without risking her being aware of what’s happened to her, but I strongly recommend going down to two just to be safe.”
“Two?” Richard repeated, looking uncertain. “I don’t know… I was sort of hoping Susie would still be able to look up to her, you know, as a role model.”
Dr Smith bit his lip to keep himself from laughing. A role model? “Bear in mind that your wife’s mental age won’t change once she’s been regressed,” he said, his voice betraying no hint of amusement, “so your daughter would grow up past her at some point anyway. It might be simpler for her to have a little sister from the start, rather than have a big sister whom she catches up to, and then matures past.”
Richard considered this for a few moments, then nodded. “Yes…” he said hesitantly, “I suppose that makes sense.”
“I’m sure Susie will love having a baby sister even more than she’d love having a big one,” Dr Smith went on. “And Mia can be the one to look up to her, instead of the other way around. After all, the whole reason we’re doing this is because Mia did something terrible, isn’t that right? Wouldn’t it be better if Mia learns to be more like Susie, instead of Susie like Mia?”
Richard nodded again, more fervently this time. “Yes,” he said. “Absolutely. You’re right. Littler would really be better.”
“Of course, that will mean dealing with diapers.”
“That’s fine,” said Richard. “I can handle that.”
“Excellent!” said Dr Smith, clapping his hands together. “We’ll go ahead with two years old then. Now, what would you like her personality to be like? Shy? Boisterous?”
“I don’t want to change who she is,” Richard said quickly.
Again, Dr Smith had to work hard stop himself from laughing. Right, taking away her adulthood and turning her into an overgrown toddler is just fine, but God forbid we ‘change who she is’. “Of course not,” he said, “but turning back the clock on her mind gives you the chance to guide her in a new direction. It wouldn’t change the essence of who she is, just bring out a side of her that might have been dormant before.”
Richard frowned in thought.
“How about we make her a little bit silly?” Dr Smith suggested. “A girl who’s always having fun, who’s never worried about embarrassment. From the sounds of it, Mia is quite an uptight person. It might be nice for her if we let out all the sweet silliness she keeps locked away.”
Richard seemed to like that idea. “Yeah,” he said. “I’ve always told her she’d be happier if she learned not to take things so seriously all the time.”
If only you’d made it clear that didn’t apply to her marriage vows. “Very good!” said Dr Smith. “And are there any quirks you’d like her to have? Any little behaviours you’d find particularly adorable? For instance, if you’d like her to have a toe-sucking habit, or a love of dancing, or a compulsion to strip off and run around naked, or anything like that, then we can make that happen.”
“Susie always looked so adorable when she sucked on her little toesies,” Richard said, going misty eyed. “It would be nice if Mia did that too.”
“I’m sure she’ll look just as cute,” said Dr Smith. Like daughter like mother, wasn’t that the expression?
“And I’d like her to have the nudity compulsion too,” said Richard who, despite his earlier misgivings, now seemed quite interesting in customizing his adult baby-to-be. “Except I think it would be best if she left her nappy on, so she doesn’t have any accidents on the carpet.”
“Very wise,” said Dr Smith. “Then from time to time she’ll love stripping down to just her diaper. No more modesty. Now, what would you like to do about her sexual needs?”
Richard looked taken aback. “Her… Will she still…?”
“She still has an adult body, and an adult sex drive,” Dr Smith explained. “You’ll have to handle those needs just like you would any other, otherwise it might lead to her engaging in unhygienic behaviours like putting her hands down the front of her diaper to play with herself. You might consider giving her a quick rub during changes or bathtime to give her some relief, or else allow her to hump her pillow or a stuffed animal when supervised.”
Richard nodded.
“But,” Dr Smith continued, “if you’d prefer, you can keep having sex with her. She’ll love it. We can even amp up her lewdness, and turn her into a total nympho who can’t keep her hands off her Daddy.”
“No!” Richard said at once. He looked uncomfortable. “I don’t think that would be… appropriate.”
Dr Smith resisted the urge to roll his eyes. How noble. He found it bizarre how often his clients were worried about ‘ethics’, given what they were asking him to do. But as long as they paid him when all was said and done, he didn’t have anything to complain about. “If you’re sure,” he said, shrugging and getting to his feet. “I’ll proceed as we’ve discussed.” He held out his hand.
Richard got up too and shook, with that familiar expression of mingled guilt and relief on his face. The guilt usually disappeared quickly though, Dr Smith had found. He always made sure his victims became the sweetest, most adoring little girls. It didn’t do to have the clients regretting their decisions, after all. That was when things got messy.
“So when will you be able to do it?” asked Richard, unable to hide his anticipation.
“Just let me know a time and a place I can get her on her own,” said Dr Smith, “and baby Mia will be amusing her Daddy and her big sister with her silly antics before you know it.”
