R.E: S.V EP 3 My last Source Film Maker movie-project |  Radical Cut

1. ) Little bit of storytime KamaDeva       --->(SFM)

2016 I've started to work with SFM and loved the freedom it gave me to move things around , other than just to draw it in 2D dimension frame-by-frame (13fps) on Adobe Flash yeeeears ago,which is a whole different SFW chapter on its own .


The SFM userbase over time, grew up enormously and the accessibility of all the models and other assets to have and get was just mindblowing . You still can put something good on screen .


2.)However ...

... during the last year , the drive to to make bigger/longer movies like the "current S3X Virus Ep2 & 3" brought me closer  to the point where I've noticed the limitations month-after month and I felt like Im wasting part of my creativity here or part of my creativity is on idle because its not possible to implement new elements (or animate c0mshots or hair) or very tedious to work out .


It got harder every year to NOT crash Source Film Maker once
But what if at some point the software is just crashing because it can't load the models due the fact SFMs ram limitation or because of not existing multithreading or forget CUDA nor OptiX(RTX) tech for rendering not being available?

Over the year the ideas and projects got bigger in a positive matter. Making scenes longer and adding more spice to it, is a point SFM is just stagnating my motivation right now. You can't really set big things in it(locations multiple models ) with the current default amount of polygons a model has and it get bigger and bigger every year . Its time to step up the equiptment.

I've learned a lot in the essence of animating and cutting and editing ,thats a fact . How much frames a move should consists or how to capture the best camera pos. imo to catch the dynamic or it looks sexier that way. Or just how to fake lights and give visual hints of passive action on frame . That part made the journey exciting for me . Less that SFM is interesting. Kinda lost it.

Im writing this down because SFM is in my name and I'm known like some other few artists who are still working on SourcFilmMaker. SFM was and is a good start to get in the essence of Animation and provides and keeps complicated stuff out until you step to the next level of more details and ways to improve . It does a good job keeping you motivated at start imo .

Another important part is, the people who either found me on tumblr ,twitter or google "typing"KamadevaSFM and not Kama Deva the Indian God :D .

Im not sure if I should keep the letters but somebody  already is using Kamadeva (adult content) so its a problem . It will stay like this for now. 

There a lot issues I could mention which ruins your daily mood in the production process (in episodic long projects!) but I close the rant part now. People who used SFM before know it well. :)


4- The Blender (software) path                                                                                                

The last weeks I've spent every day but sundays to figure out how hard it is, to get to the point realizing what I think is filling my requirements for a longer animation-sequence  longer than 30 seconds . 

In my case the big question was

"Am I able to produce episodes in a realistic time span?"

Short answer after 3 weeks "Yes"

Unfortunately it took some time and I've been in a carousel of emotions lately, because the learning curve in Blender wasn't really easy atleast for me . My days were filled with watching around 6- 10 tutorials a day,that I've lost count .

This affected in that I've lost some track of time and got to ambitious about the end result ,posting updates here to let you know whats going on.
Often I felt like "it will take a day and I upload the preview tomorrow"
which later on took 3 days and  I've messed up the animation-sequence in changing something which I couldn't "Redo" anymore .

There is no place for that in progress update posts in announcing when Im not sure .


As a content creator Im used to live with my own pressure showing something but it was harder this time because I stepped in to a field where I barely know anything of the software itself. Fortunately this is over now and Im looking forward to share my progress with you the next weeks . Im in the exact position where I wanted to be but with 2 - 4 times better visuals FINALLY .

I want to put attention that your supportβ™₯ really made me believe in my animation skills and it really boosted my motivation to learn everyday (overtime without knowing what comes but to learn it as quickly with no hessitation or fail ), no matter what obstacles .

There are a lot of words missing but I don't want to sound too cheesy, but some people know that it can be rough sometimes to get out of their system (and habbits) and really learn from the start again . 

I would most likely never be able to invest such intense time of learning and practicing  without knowing Im capable of because of you guys and sometimes your comments /private message .Blender is really nothing for a short term in - and out and you have to take some serious time until you pull something sexy out of it.


Is there anything to share ?
Yes but be aware(!) these are short ones to test out certain things . Some vids resembles my lack of knowledge of some stuff at that point.

Sidenote: The Batgirl you see here is BETA and not really ready for the episode but its easier to handle than the SFM version and gives more freedom to things I wanna reveal later :)

Future of excisting ongoing Episodes and other stuff

Every announced project will just go as planned but with Blender from now on.

Content-previews will come in a weekly matter as it was with the previews of the episodes ,in the past . This took a while but Im done with learning the essential stuff now. This month will differ from the next months  before I move fully to episodes work-shedule next month with the Harley Quinn project coming next . Some aspects are experimental but not visible on your end .

Im still experimenting with other stuff as well . Its brandnew to me which brings me to the next point . Easier access to alter. models or just make entire models
(with some other software as 2nd source|paid)

Porting stuff with Blender to SFM (using multiple programms to convert stuff) was already a pain in the ass and I mostly tried to avoid it. Now with fully transmitting to Blender I dont need that anymore. The picture below is just a few hours of playing around with the sculpting to make Sheeva more feminine because I want a Futa Dom but no male(og is left) so I might add some extra stuff on it later (originally ported my Nyl)

There is also another software Ive bought with some addons to sculp my own models which comes with the feature of sculpting existing humans . I dont know yet where this will go but defy gonna use it for Sauna of Lust Succubus models (not this one) and for the Asasi VIP club staff members later.



R.E. S3X Virus EP3 won't be out this month . The voice acting will take 2 weeks alteast and there is still a full week of animation worktime left. Pls don't message me everyday about it . It will be done when its done and Im not working on one task per month . I will keep you updated ofc.πŸ˜€

You can ask me for details if you are curious. There are many good and bad experiences here to tell but content speaks better because it shows the progress in the best way . :)

Thank you ❀ Somewhere this year I will try to learn Unreal Engine and see how this works out in converting animation sequences there and see where it goes. As long the mainwork is done in Blender(maps/models/animation) the coding "should" be stressful and we get some small additional interactivity :) But we arent there yet with no custom models .
