Aside from the proportions being a bit small compared to other action seinen series, I think this is mostly because of the incredibly poor translation via the CGI. Ilya's style of coloring and shading has either an "ethereal" or "pop art" feel which isnt present in the cgi at all. This type of cgi was a bad choice, and if Berzerk or Gundam Origins are anything to go by, this is going to be for a very niche audience.
