Hi James and Millie and family! Awesome video! I'm glad you had a great time at Pier 39 and in San Francisco in general! It was awesome to meet you when you came to visit San Francisco. Archie is so cute and you guys and Victoria and Lauren were so nice! By the way, depending on what time of year, sometimes every inch of all the wooden platforms you saw the sea lions are are completely covered with sea lions and you can't see any or the platform and they are all on top of them and pushing each other off because there is absolutely no room! There are like two of three layers oe sea lions on top of each other.

Anything you buy at Pier 39 may define the highest price in town for that item. "We can't walk out without gettin' anything" - They depend on your thinking that. FYI, that was a remarkably low number of sea lions. Often they cover all the floats. But a month or two ago I read they had totally disappeared, but now I believe they are back. They come and go doing whatever sea lions do. When they first arrived they weren't exactly welcomed as they took over piers intended for boats and the city couldn't make them leave. So "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" - They built the floats just for the sea lions when they realized what a tourist attraction they could be. If only the same thing worked for the equally unwelcome homeless drug users (although you won't see many of those in this part of town, just as New Orleans keeps the French Quarter pretty free of the crime that permeates the rest of that city).
