Announcing Odin - Skyrim Magic Overhaul!

The way magic should have been.

Odin includes both fixes and improvements to all vanilla spells as well as about 10-15 new spells per school (some from Apocalypse, most new).

For instance, atronachs scale with level, have about 500 bugs fixed and there are also several new daedra with unique visuals (courtesy of Mihail). The new daedra don't eclipse the atronachs or make them redundant, but take up niches next to them. The goal is to make it hard to tell which spells are added by the mod and which are vanilla.

So you just copied Mysticism

Actually, I intentionally ignored Mysticism, specifically to avoid making a copy of Mysticism. There was demand for a more vanilla friendly version of Apocalypse, and the vanilla spells are somewhat lame and in need of improvement, so I did both.

Mysticism does add a large number of spell variants, while Odin aims for a smaller number of spells that are more focussed and unique in order to avoid cluttering up the spellbook.

Oh no, another V++ mod groan

Odin can be used alongside Apocalypse. It will detect that Apocalypse is installed and throw away the duplicate spells. So it is technically part of both the V++ and full size mod sets. (It will need a patch for Ordinator and Vokrii, though.)

As an aside, this is my last vanilla-anything mod. The next mod in line is Vodahmin, which is a quest mod with a dragon priest morph at the end and is currently in the planning stages.

Wen?

The holidays are over and my busy daily life resumes. Additionally, SimonMagus will release the new version of Mysticism in a couple of weeks and the patch may take time and distract me from this.

I'm expecting a release in February or so.
