Roadmap Update

Hey guys its been a while since the last update, unfortunately while i spent a couple hours drafting it, adding images, videos, etc i had decided to open it up on my phone to continue writing it while on my commute home only for the entire draft to be lost to the void. Promise i will re-write that missing post and send it off later.

Leaving my procrastination aside i wanted to update everyone on what's going on as we are still at the TLC stage of our Roadmap, it has taken far longer than anticipated as it ended up being much more work than i imagined, however we've still done quite a few things since our last update such as.

New Art

We have quite a few models in the pipeline currently, we'll have a more detailed post about these in particular at a later date.

Everyone in our art team is working hard on the next set of models and i have received a few of these early drafts such as the Overlord which has been rigged and is now receiving animations and thanks to one of our sponsors Leaf_It funding several models we've been finishing them at a much faster rate.

Ladder

Even though we have quite a lot of work to do we've still managed to squeeze some dev time into the ladder as we've continued to work on update 0.3 for the Ladder beta which will include the first iteration of Ranked mode as well as the addition of the User Profile which is used to track player statistics and let players review their own stats.

We will have a dedicated post for the Ladder changes coming in 0.3 as well as some new perks for Patrons coming later this month.

Roadmap: TCL Stage

As mentioned previously in our Roadmap we had scheduled work in order to fix several internal issues as well as ease the burden while uploading newer versions of the mods for the Melee branch of the Mods, this has unfortunately pushed back our schedule for the Ladder Update.

As for good news however we've updated our mods for the Asia region yet again after blizzard's servers had their upload limit reduced even further.

We've also made great progress on our Multiplayer Art Mods which is gonna help our Melee Mapmakers maintain an easy to use library of assets for any upcoming maps as well as allow us to quickly iterate on newer versions of our Multiplayer assets such as the creep, new critters and Map Exclusive features. One such example of new assets are a set of themed geyser models which for now only have the Temple variant, with more of them coming soon.

This Melee art mod is essential to the next update for the Ladder as we look to expand the playable game modes on the Ranked Map.
