New Credits display coming = )
Added 2020-01-11 03:25:40 +0000 UTCTo be able to update Credits more quickly, and shorten videos by another 10 to 20 seconds each, I'm thinking about adding credit overlays to all of the transitions in each tutorial: where I talk between parts that segue from intro, to installation, so on...Highest tier patrons will be shown at the very opening of the video and I'll do the overlays in order, tier to tier. Videos that don't have as many tutorial sections as we have Patron tiers I'll show them at the very end before the 20 second end scene.
This way I won't have to worry about end cards covering things up. I am thinking of keeping a single end-video-credit-roll that displays everyone who has ever donated to GP in alphabetical order. If they get covered up from time to time it won't be as troublesome to me knowing that current Patron's are still shown throughout the video in a very prevalent position. One roll is easy enough to update each time and I'd like to show everyone, regardless of when they pledged, or by what means they donated, that I still and always will appreciate them.
If I don't like how it looks being overlay-ed on the actual transition piece I'll show it just before. This will give those watching the video an extra 2 or 3 seconds to catch their breath inbetween steps. I won't cut back on as much video length this way but it will still be easier to update and implement than my current method. The card (per tier) that I plan on showing will look similar to how this channels is at the very opening of the video.

I'm going to give this a go. I think it will also make the editing look a bit more elegant.
