NEED your feedback
Added 2017-07-13 06:00:33 +0000 UTCEdit: Well I had enough feedback (more saying do it than not lol) to think of something else. Going to leave them alone for now. Comment left for those who want to read = )
Problem: Too many places for people (Non-Patrons) to comment (twitter, facebook, 500+ videos, emails, so on). Tons of hours spent answering comments due to feeling obligated (I can't help it). Negative comments are maybe 1 out of 50 but still bring me down quite a bit. Could put more time into video creation and into myself if I didn't spend the time (only 10 hours a week or so now... use to be lots more) that I respond to video comments to relaxing and video creation. Even 5 hours more personal time each week (1 hour a day) and 5 hours more video creation time (again, another 1 hour a day 5 days a week).
Answer: Disable in video comments. I can still post the pinned comment for navigation and important information regarding the videos (updates, extra info, extra tests) and at the top of the pinned comment link to a community Discord chat. More than just myself would be able to help. I would just drop in when I feel like it as others could help out. Trolls can be banned more easily and even be banned by my occasional moderators and not just myself.

Yeah, in the end I've left them alone for now. We'll see what happens = )

2017-07-13 18:26:37 +0000 UTCAs a person who rarely leaves comments, I have my G+ set up so that when people "+1" something I say in a comment, I get a notification. Whenever I see "[creator] liked your comment" I feel like I made them smile and that makes me smile. Just so you know: you don't have to answer to a comment with another comment, you can silently like them. I used to leave comments on your roleplays saying things like "I love this" (with pretty phrases but not much more meaning); when I saw you respond with "Thanks! = ) - Michael" each time I simply thought "Glad I helped you, but you could have better used those 5 seconds." and I kinda stopped doing it and only left comment when I actually had things to say. I'd say if you just can't help but respond to people, if it comes from your guts, and it ends up hurting, then cut yourself from it and disable the comments. But if you think you could live with reading without taking much more time than rising your thumb to a nice comment, then I'd say leave the comments and stop replying. But this is saying what's already been said, I guess :)
