RSAHNP: ONE-SHOT: The King and I

*The Mountain Temple of the Ancient Kongs. Dominion of Kong, Alpha Titan and Guardian God of the Hollow Earth. The supposed last surviving member of the Titanus Kong species and one of the most powerful beings on the planet, rivaling even the atomic saurian Titanus Gojira in might.*

*Despite his raw strength and ferocity, Kong does possess compassion for the lives of peaceful and innocent beings. Atop the highest peak on the entire mountain temple, the titanic ape lays flat on his stomach, his gentle amber-brown eyes focused on the numerous, tiny sleeping forms resting within the palm of his massive right hand. Peacefully asleep within his palm was none other than the many offspring of Ron Stoppable.*

*Hana Stoppable, the oldest and daughter of Yori; Athena and Alex Stoppable, the fraternal twins of Shego; Bruce Stoppable, son of Rhea Rampage; Thomas Stoppable, son of Tonnie Rockwaller; Stephanie Stoppable, daughter of Amelia Rodriguez; Kara Stoppable, daughter of Adrena Lynn; Chloe Stoppable, daughter of Dr. Vivian Porter; Sophia Stoppable, daughter of Scarlett; Annabelle Stoppable, daughter of Kim Possible; Mallory Stoppable, daughter of Madison Mayhem; Gwendolyn Stoppable, daughter of Dr. Ann Possible; Electra Stoppable, daughter of Electronique/Elena Ferrolvo; Jennifer and Jonny, the fraternal twins of Justine Flanner; Ron Stoppable Junior, the son of Bonnie Rockwaller; Raven Stoppable, the daughter of Monique Williams; Jane Stoppable, daughter of Tara King; R'an and Lo, the fraternal twins of Queen La; and Louie Stoppable, son of Maria Renton.*

*All of these precious children of Ron Stoppable were resting peacefully, safe and protected under the watchful eyes of their guardian Alpha Titan. Ron and his wives were camping nearby in their tents, knowing from experience that the absolute safest place to be in the Hollow Earth ecosystem  was in the presence of the mighty Kong. However, one of the adult women ventured outside of camp, her approach not going unnoticed by the mammoth Ape-God as she made her way towards him. Stepping out of the shadows, Shego was swift to extinguish her plasma, not wanting to disturb the children who were blissfully sleeping after an eventful day.*

Shego: Hey, Kong. How's the weather up there, big guy?

*Kong snorted and continued to make eye contact with her, his soulful eyes staring into the depths of her emerald-green irises.*

Shego: *Chuckles* Yeah, I know. Bad joke. I swear I think I've been hanging around Ron too much.

*Kong stares at her before averting his gaze to the Hollow Earth's version of the aurora borealis and the storm systems that exist throughout the domain. It's a stunning sight, beholding the beauty of nature through the cascading lights that glowed and danced across the heavens and the powerful lightning of the storms. Shego couldn't help but feel a sense of serenity and peace flush through her, her emerald-green irises looking from the aurora and back to the mountain of mammal that is Kong. It amazed her that such an exotic, yet dangerous place could hold so much hidden beauty.*

Shego: It's beautiful. This whole place is beautiful. Dangerous, yet beautiful. Then again, I guess if anyone would know that it'd be you, huh?

*Kong returned his attention to her, briefly glancing down and smiling at the sleeping children within his hand. Before Ron Stoppable, his wives and their children, Kong's only close bond was with that of the Iwi Natives and the young girl Jia who aided him in learning sign language. These little creatures were his family, part of his troop. He genuinely loves them; protecting them as if they were his very own kin. He enjoyed it when they laughed and played, climbing and crawling over him as if he were a mountainous, furry playground. It greatly relieved him of the loneliness and solitary existence he had endured through most of his life.*

Shego: My babies. A bunch of trouble, but they make life interesting. *She notices Kong gazing down at the kids, letting out a soft rumble.* You really care about them, don't you?

*A gentle smile forms on Kong's face as he notices little Sophia snuggle closely with her sister Chloe. It was amazing how the quietest of the Stoppable children was the one who immediately bonded with the massive Alpha Titan. He then refocused his attention back to Shego, a low rumble coming from him.*

Shego: Yeah, I guess I should just cut to the chase, shouldn't I? Listen, I'm out here in the middle of the night because I... I just wanted to thank you. For everything.

Shego: I know I act the role of the strong alpha Mom and try to always be there for my kids, to provide for them and protect them at all times. But deep down... I'm afraid. Afraid that I'm not going to be strong enough, that I'm not always going to be there for them when they need me... I'm afraid, Kong... I'm afraid of losing my kids.

*She couldn't stop the tears from falling, the tiny droplets of moisture leaking from her emerald irises and proceeding to slowly trek down her face. All of her fears, all of her concerns, all of her emotions coursing through her like a storm of storms. Kong could see and sense her sorrow, he understood her fear but also her love. The love of a mother, the love of a parent who'd do anything for her children. It reminded him of his tragic birth, of how his own Mother had hidden him from the Skull-Devils and sacrificed her life so that he may live.*

Shego: I've never felt more terrified or helpless than I was yesterday. I hate that feeling! I hate it more than anything! I couldn't have saved the kids from the cliffside that collapsed... I couldn't have fought off those monsters... but here you are, all-powerful and larger than life... you rush in without fear or hesitation, as if it's nothing to you. I wish... I wish I had your strength, your courage... the strength and courage to protect my kids and keep them safe.

Shego: I love my kids, Kong... I love them more than anything in my life! I'd do anything for my kids. I just want them to be happy and live a good life... I want to be strong enough to protect them and be there when they need me... I just want to be worthy of being their Mom and let them know that I love them.

*Kong could only look on as the tiny human female poured her heart out to him. He only wished there was a way to comfort her, to ease her sorrow and let her know he understood how she felt. Unknown to both Kong and Shego, Athena Stoppable had been listening to her Mom's conversation with the mighty Ape-God. The daughter of Shego fought the intensely powerful urge to rise to her feet, rush to her Mom's side, and embrace her with an affectionate hug. She felt a few tears stream down her face as she continued to listen.*

Shego: *Sniffling slightly, she begins wiping away the tears from her eyes.* I'm sorry. I must be losing my mind. Talking to a giant ape, thinking you can understand me.

*Shego was about to turn and walk away, but Kong's massive hand blocks her way. It was like an impenetrable wall of flesh, one that couldn't be bypassed. She turns back around to see Kong looking directly at her, a look of understanding and gentle compassion within his expressive brown eyes. He then lowers and opens his hand before Shego, inviting her to step inside the vast palm of his hand.*

Shego: You... want me to stay?

*Kong nods his humongous skull slightly in confirmation, surprising Shego with his incredible intelligence. She couldn't help but smile up at the colossal Alpha Titan. She steps into his hand, seating herself in the palm of his hand. Raising his his hand from the ground, Kong gazes at Shego before shifting his eyes to watch the serenity of the aurora borealis of the Hollow Earth. Her gaze followed his own, feeling an incredibly comforting peace course through her.*

Shego: Might as well enjoy the beautiful view.

*A few moments of silence went by, Shego and Kong staring at the stunningly beautiful display of the aurora borealis. It was only when Kong felt movement within the palm of his other hand did he avert his gaze away from the heavenly lights only to discover Athena Stoppable. The young girl had stood to her feet, looking directly into Kong's eyes as she then pointed to her mother Selene within Kong's other massive paw. Understanding her intentions, Kong lifts his hand and places it near the other, allowing Athena to easily hop over into his titanic, leathery paw. The young woman, whose long raven hair and green irises made her appearance all the more like an adolescent version of her Mother, quietly made her approach.*

Athena: Mom?

Shego: Athena? Baby, what're you doing up this late?

*Like any concerned parent, Shego rises to her feet and inspects her child. Brushing a lock away from Athena's face, she fondly smiles at her beautiful daughter. It was amazing to her how much her daughter had grown. It felt like it was only yesterday when she was nursing her and her twin brother Alex, cradling them close to her hefty bossom. Her expression soon changes when she notices the forlorn expression gracing Athena's features.*

Shego: Sweetheart, what's wrong?

Athena: Mom, I... I heard you. What you said. Everything.

Shego: *Sigh* I shouldn't be surprised. You always did have a knack for finding out things.

Athena: I... I just want you to know... You don't have anything to prove, Mom, least of all to me. You're the strongest and most fearless person I know. You're not afraid of anything or anyone. You've always been there for me. You've always been there for my brothers and sisters. You're the best Mom anyone could have, and I...

*Unable to hold back any longer, Athena rushes her Mom, embracing her in a hug. She clings to her parent, burying her face in her Mother's neck as a few tears stream down her face. But they're not tears of sorrow, but tears of love, appreciation and compassion. Love and appreciation for the woman who brought her into this world, who gave her and her siblings a great life.*

Athena: I love you, Mom.

Shego: I love you, too, sweetheart. I love you.

*Mother and daughter watched the beautiful aurora borealis until finally sleep claimed them both. It was early morning, the stars were still out, and it was then that Ron discovered his wife and daughter, peacefully asleep. Ron smiled, kneeled down and kissed his wife's cheek before kissing his daughter's forehead. He glanced over the rest of the children sleeping in Kong's other hand, blissfully dreaming and unaware of his presence. A low rumble caught Ron's attention, discovering that Kong had awakened to greet him.*

Ron: Don't mind me, Big Guy. Just checking up on everyone. By the way... thanks for protecting our family.

*Kong lets out a soft rumble before closing his eyes and drifting back to sleep. There was still a good many hours before morning's light. It was best to take advantage of it and rest. Silently Ron makes his way back to the encampment, knowing it'd only be a matter of time before his wives missed his presence. Speaking of which... he wondered if Selene would bother with her usual morning ritual?*
