2021-02-24 17:27:08 +0000 UTCSo my players opted to take this quest hook last night, after a bit of time writing up a new character to join the other (now) level 2 players. Three of them went into the fight against the three thugs and boy, it was a nasty one. Roll20 marked 3 lvl 2 players vs 3 thugs as deadly and it pretty much was! lol. I ended up making the thugs more money hungry than worried about defeating the party to balance it out when it looked as though it was about to go to a TPK. Once the Sorcerer was unconscious, I had the thugs swarm his body to start stealing gold to run off with. Needless to say, before the thugs could run off, the party finished them off. There were some bad choices as the Divine Soul went into melee to stab and cast magic missile 🤷♂️ and the melee based ranger was doing more ranged stuff. 🤷♂️🤷♂️ Now, these aren't new players either. They just picked some poor tactics to deal with these thugs and it could have gone much better, imo. So far so good! They have the Torgul box and next time will start running around town to try and get it unlocked.
