During your thoughts at 15 minutes at the end of Doubt Comes In, I think there's also a take in which Hades is giving Orpheus a chance to prove to him that the treasure can be found outside the walls he's built if he can hold to faith in his loved one.

2025-01-29 16:58:21 +0000 UTCJust a suggestion, but if you can try to listen to Eva’s (Eurydice’s) first performance of Wait For Me Reprise vs her last performance. Actually magical

2024-12-19 16:42:54 +0000 UTCIf you can gett o London 11th feb to 9th March it's the original cast. I was privileged to see Andre de shields sing Hadestown at musicalcon and listen to him talk and he was amazing. I wish I had paid to do his meet and greet.

2024-12-19 16:40:56 +0000 UTCThe original cast is reprising their roles in London from February 11th to March 9th. You have a chance to see the original cast but only for a limited time.

2024-12-19 04:53:15 +0000 UTCIt was just announced that the original cast will be reprising their roles in London on the west end. From February 11th to March 9th. So only one month. Everybody is anticipating that a film will be made and released in the future. I am so excited for that possibility. I might even try and go see it. It is a huge maybe though. If you really want to see the original cast. I would start buying your ticket now. They go on sale in 2 days.

2024-12-19 04:51:13 +0000 UTCextra emotional damage but in the 2017 version when orpheus turns around, eurydice says "you're early" and he replies "i missed you" so in case it wasn't already heartbreaking enough

2024-12-18 20:13:20 +0000 UTCThe best thing about this musical is that you get to hear it again and again and maybe it will turn out next time.

2024-12-18 17:05:52 +0000 UTCFunny enough I'm seeing hadestown in january, its playing in sioux falls south dakota where i live! We have a theater out here called the pavilion that they're coming to. Its been my favorite musical since before it hit broadway and what got me to be a patron here and for mortius.

2024-12-18 08:35:47 +0000 UTCI’m so glad that you loved this show as much as we do, even if you were missing some allegorical context (sorry?). This show is so rich and complex and layered, and watching your reaction made me appreciate a bunch of the musical motifs more. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I look forward to your thoughts on PotO!

2024-12-18 03:37:26 +0000 UTCI'm really sad to see this end, but the playlist remains! <3 PS, I had a bit of resentment for Hadestown for a minute, because a friend of mine (a self-titled Musical Hater) was pushing it but refused to give any EPIC songs a listen. You Have enriched my experience and how I perceive this musical, thank you Casper!

2024-12-18 00:14:11 +0000 UTCThis musical really is incredible. You HAVE to see Doubt Comes in Live. The transition into Road to Hell reprise is especially perfect.

2024-12-17 23:37:39 +0000 UTCReal talk, "We Raise Our Cups" is so beautiful and makes me so weepy, which is one thing seeing it live is an absolute plus for cuz not only is there communal crying among a full theatre of people, but also an incredibly jazzy instrumental outro to play the cast & audience out. I don't have to sit there crying like on the album, I can jam along and remember there's still good in the world LMAO. Absolutely incredible show, I'm so glad this is your favorite & you enjoyed it despite the pain

2024-12-17 23:04:11 +0000 UTC....I will forgive you just because of how painful this ending is. Also for the "Jayce I need you to kiss me on my mouth" LMAO

2024-12-17 22:59:20 +0000 UTC"I don't wanna say goodbye to Hadestown" Well luckily they're gonna sing it again and again 😉 In fact they just released a new album of the West End cast and it's so cool to get to listen to the different choices the actors made compared to the Broadway version.

2024-12-17 21:31:32 +0000 UTCAnd for me. Idk just wanna blab lol. This is a story of celebrating art. The reason we tell stories. It’s a celebration of creation, even when life is hard. Especially when life is hard. We know it’s a sad story. We know how it ends. But we choose to tell it anyways because it’s important to tell stories. And every time you share art the world does get a little better. Spring comes. Even if the ending is the same. Spring has come. 😭😭😭😭
