Now, you might be like, 'what kind of swordsman has two katanas and why are they straight-edged when katanas have curved blades?' - well my dude, I have the answer. They aren't katanas, they are ninjato, the poor-man's version of a samurai sword, short and straight-edged, and probably much easier to dual wield if one so desired (in fiction anyway). Maybe incomparable as weapons, but I am comparing them in the context of wealth here.

I thought it would cut a nice figure on Jet while giving a nod to his inspiration, but I suppose these swords are one of many hints that Jet and Verus are not made of old money - Sphinx Manor and it's amenities were conjured on the collective coin of a now-forgotten village and the lucrative secrets of many important figures throughout Spathi.

Now you might be like, 'Oh Aero. Does this mean Jet is the poor-man's version of Cor?' No, lol. Square Enix already did that themselves. Take a look at Jack Garland from Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin. Jet might be a clown, but Jack is the whole circus *ba dum tish*

As someone who likes Cor, I like Jet for different reasons (and I made him / named him before Jack Garland so I've got that going for me lol. He was named Jet because he was originally going in my sci-fi comic but eh, it stuck here) - they're just packaged a bit similarly, but with different inner contents. Just like Jack Garland has similar packaging as Cor but like instead of chocolates you got a box full of rusty nails and an ipod with industrial buttrock on it
