KNIGHT OF ALANOC: page 92 + design stuff

Disclaimer: This is a survivor story and is showing recovery from abuse over the course of the comic's plot unfolding, this is in no way glorifying sexual violence or abuse, the story shows how trauma affects it's victims and that victims of abuse deserve love and healing. I also have some strong words against sexual assault in the text below so fair warning. 

With that out of the way, I'd like to talk about a few interesting things.

I thought it'd be a good time to show part of the ending, and talk about technical stuff and character design. 

Lakoneus, the abusive ex of Osric who had been with him for a tumultuous but unspecified amount of time, was designed as like the ultimate asshole jerk lol. He's an amalgam of abusers I've faced, toxic people I've had the misfortune of putting up with, and the fictional characters these two categories of horrible people somehow admire. 

His design is mostly a combination of Vaas, the villain from Far Cry 3, and Priapus from the same-named rape-themed comic, who for some reason a lot of those abusers have a crush on + excuse their actions; his actions are like the people who think it's OK to act out abusive comics/media they like; and his mindset is like those toxic folks that think people are supposed to be emotionless sex objects to be used for selfish pleasure. 

The color scheme on him is just a reflection of those abusers' favorite 'look', there tends to be a lot of muscle and white hair and that sort of severe face. He's also supposed to look like a bootleg evil Xerxes, the go-to look for asshole bara characters. And lastly, my least favorite gesture, guaranteed to repulse, the V finger thing with the licking (not pictured here, but in another page). Ugh.
This scene took the longest to do, for obvious reasons and hitting close to home. Yay working through trauma through art!

On a more positive note, I'm pretty happy with the line art for this section and the other new pages of Knight of Alanoc - you can tell which ones are the new pages because they have better lines. Sorry it's this awful subject matter, but I felt the expressiveness really came through on this one. Thanks for reading.
