A monochrome-on-purpose scene of Osric and his abuser / ex, Lakoneus. The only censored sex scenes (i.e. that don't show genitalia and the acts in explicit detail) in the stories I'm writing are the upsetting ones of abuse, and that's so it's not voyeuristic, while still showing enough of what happened. It is ugly, and it has been hard to explore through the story and drawings, but I feel that it is important to tell this kind of story and how the person who experienced it recovers from it afterward. For Knight of Alanoc is not about Xerxes saving Osric, but it is about Osric healing from the scars of soul-sucking people who broke his once-hopeful heart.
The blushing is not code for 'he liked this' - the body still reacts to situations like this, and it is absolutely of no fault of the victim. It is simply a physical reaction.
The two narration bubbles are present Osric and past Osric's mixed, murky, confused and upset thoughts about the trauma he has been through. He talks to himself through these thoughts, rationalizing why he stayed, why he tolerated these things, and ultimately what it was that happened to him.

Thanks! Some may say that it's a bit heavy-handed, as anyone who has had an ex would see them as a devil or such, but in an ironic twist, most of the toxic people I've met have chosen to present themselves as/with demonic characters.
