Sword Kings: Rex final design

In Sword Kings #2, he goes through a training montage that sees him get to the same skill level as the other guys.
After Rex has been with the Sword Kings guild a while, Xerxes gives him the Wyvernslayer sword back. He bestows it onto him as acknowledgement of the progress he made training as a swordsman.
Rex is a pure-hearted hero, ready to defend the weak and always roped into errands for other people. He is physically strong, flustered by sexual advances (with a notable exception for monsters), and yet he is a natural romantic, extending flowers and gifts to his friends and providing a warm body to hug should anyone need him. He is still quite affectionate and loves to bake goods, as always.
I imagine Rex took about a handful of months or a year to get up to speed and grow like this, and he was 28-29 when he met them. At first he and Xerxes had some intimate times together, but now the two of them think fondly of each other as trusted friends (not as lovers).
