Weekly Works in Progress: SPHINX covers + more
Added 2020-09-05 20:19:54 +0000 UTCA little glimpse into the process for making a new cover ;^> Usually I don't put up the scrapped versions of the final covers unless it gets changed late in production (i.e. after it's been inked), but for the new book Sphinx, I happened to have the scrapped and final version on the same page lol.
The one on the left matches my other covers in that sort of 'they're going to get it on in most of this story' way, but the one on the right captures more of the vibe of the story, in that it is a series of short romance-slice-of-life-and-explicit stories centered around Ravi and his ojisan lovers. Ravi is the titular sphinx, and only one of these covers makes sense right away ;3
I'd have more to show but this is my Layouts week, and I don't think you guys would have much to look at if I showed a bunch of those scribbles haha. In other news I'm actually ahead for some line art for the books this month, and I added a few Sword Kings and Ace of Beasts pages to this post!
