Color scheme change + behind the scenes
Added 2019-09-26 19:42:12 +0000 UTCACE OF BEASTS is a series influenced by a few branches of ancient art and certain paintings from long ago. As I worked on the ancient Greek inspired art of MYTHIKOS TERATOS, I realized that ACE OF BEASTS may benefit from a slightly more focused color scheme.
The key phrases I want people to think when they see the art is: erotic, sophisticated, and inspired by the ancient world.
I was looking over ACE OF BEASTS Volume 2 and noticing that it's very brightly colored which might not be suitable for the more dramatic / serious tone I've written in Volume 1 REDUX and Volume 3 onward. Instead of redoing all of Volume 2's art from scratch which would be a disaster, I decided to change around the color scheme for the entirety of the series. The editing is already done, I just wanted to show you what I've been working on.
