PFM: Artist Breakdown
Added 2025-03-16 21:54:39 +0000 UTCEvery now and again I come up against the my ultimate enemy. ⚔️ the YouTube copyright system! It’s gone and absolutely nailed me on this video. At the moment I can’t upload it to public at all and am trying to dispute the video for educational reasons.
In the meantime, at least we can enjoy it on here 😊
Big ups all

That Logical Progression lineup is stacked! I'm gutted to never see Conrad live, such a unique style.

2025-03-20 11:02:43 +0000 UTCThanks dude! Yea for sure, I think that's definitly one of the area's of music production that's not talked about enough. There is so much info about prodcution techniques & sound design etc but much less on song structure, arrangement, transitional techniques. I listen to a lot of ambient music and love Takashi Kokubo! It's similar to atmopsheric jungle in lots of ways and I always find it very inspiring :)

2025-03-20 11:01:13 +0000 UTCBtw, good that you mentioned Conrad. I was born too late to be able to experience 90s raves, but I did manage to see Conrad with Bukem live in 2005 in Prague. Even better, I was lucky to attend a Logical Progression anniversary in Amsterdam some years later with Bukem, Fabio, Marky, EZ Rollers, Conrad, Stamina, GQ, etc. and it was 93 - 96 jungle/dnb all night!! Can’t beat the moment when you come to a big venue just to hear Horizons with Conrad on the mic as you enter the main room.

2025-03-19 16:31:29 +0000 UTCWicked!! PFM music really is transcendental. I enjoyed that “why make 90s jungle” part too, love me a bit of music philosophy and I’m not ironic here lol. What I appreciated most was the segment on arrangement/movement etc. Because many people talk about break chopping, basslines, etc. but the arrangement is perhaps even more important when it comes to the pads and atmospheric elements in this genre and I rarely see it mentioned. Almost more of a topic for ambient producers rather than dnb producers, cool that you cover it!!

2025-03-19 16:21:20 +0000 UTCHey Ted, Thanks about the vid man. I put loads of work into the theme & edits for this one. Locked myself in all weekend to finish and then YouTube copyright got me good! Anyways, I really appreciate the support & happy to hear it's been helping with your own production. That's the plan really is to try level up as much as possible and teach the whole way so we can all reach the top together. :) ✌️🌴

2025-03-18 10:23:14 +0000 UTCHey George, great job on the video! I think you nailed the aesthetic. We clearly draw upon the same inspirations. It's cool to see you have such a passion for this music and you're willing to share it! We're on the same path as far as production goes, but your dedication really shines through in the details. I learn a lot from your approach and that's the reason why I'm here as a Patreon supporter! Can't wait to see you level up!
