Patreon Production Tips 1 - Loop FX

I thought it would be a fun & useful idea to start a production techniques series here on Patreon. 🥷

It’s often hard to implement tips & tricks you learn in a video when there’s too much information being thrown at you. I hope this will be a good way to breakdown a lot of my content into more digestible chucks!

This one is about Loop FX:

If any Logic user missed it, I also just released a workflow vid going over all my most used tips in Logic Pro! - https://youtu.be/qUOZVDEEvdg?t=283

Onto my Renoise workflow & shortcuts video coming soon next week. :) 🚀

I hope everyone gets out in the sun this coming weekend. Big ups all! 😊☀️

Cheers mate :) Yea its my favourite technique! You can get some crazy results feeding different samples into the loop and just seeing what comes out. Renoise is just such a dope DAW in general & amazing for creative sound design stuff. It's actually so similar to my EMU e5000 ultra sampler in the way you can effect & process all the layers in different ways. Resampling is also at the heart of all these techniques & i'm glad you love it as much as I do! It kinda got lost somewhere in the transition from hardware to computer based music production but is such a gamechanger once you get the workflow down. 😊🚀✌️

Love this video. It's a good reminder that it can be the simple things that make that loved dreamy and nostalgic vibe of sounds. I was playing with renoise the other night rediscovering how strong of a design tool the sampler is. I also love to go crazy with the polyend tracker to do similar things. And quite honestly, I love the destructive workflow as each step moves you to something new and otherwise one would get stuck at a certain step to constantly perfect it. But if it's baked, it's baked and you find other and often unexpected solutions. Please I look forward to the follow up of this video. Thank you <3

Yea the crossfade is definitly helpful here for smoothing thing out. Annoying its destructive in Renoise tho!

There is a create a cross fading loop button so you can select the area of the sample and get a super clean loop
