90 Jungle Techniques - Distorting Hardware

I'm sure some of you are like me & find these more experimental techniques absolutely fascinating. 🧬👨‍🔬

The core of all this is essentially smashing the inputs into various bits of equipment from mixing desks to samplers to guitar pedals and resampling the results. You can also repeat processes like the Aural Exciter or Gain Functions in the EMU to mangle them even more.

What you often get is extremely distorted sounds that can then be layered with the original source to tone them back a bit. This works great for drum breaks or layer with a clean sub for bass.

I've gone through and compiled all my notes from this project into a PDF with images etc. I think this is a great way to summerize these projects so people can quickly recap in the future. I did however struggle with the formatting for the PDF so if anyone has a good note taking app for this kind of stuff please let me know! 📝

I've also updated the bass folder from this project here so everyone can see the kind of resampling I have been doing. Some of these sounds will defs make it into my future sample packs.

There are also a couple of breaks at the end of 'Two Techniques (Dillinja Remix)' I've chopped out and included in the links.

Excited to get onto the next thing now. Have a good start to the week everyone :) 🚀

Legend. Will give Obsidian a shot. I tried Notion and Mac notes for this in the past and neither of them have been amazing when it comes to exporting

I use Obsidian for production notes etc and really like it but you'd probably have to fiddle about a bit to get a PDF looking good
