Upcoming Project - Making a DnB Track from the AOE 1 in game samples!
Added 2023-05-30 14:33:19 +0000 UTCI've got a bunch of new exciting projects on the way. This is probably the one I'm most inspired by and it's been a real challenge so far! The concept is to make a track solely from the AOE 1 in-game sounds + Soundtrack in Renoise. I'm also not allowed to use single-cycle waveforms as that feels like cheating. Looping is still of course allowed and entirely necessary to make any headway out of these samples.
I've got an interesting track going so far but it definitely needs a little push over the edge to bring it to a good level. I've implemented loads of cool techniques to transform these samples so have lots of ideas for the theme & video.
If anyone feels up for the challenge. Download the samples below! 🕊 I've already done lots of organizing and a few bits of sound design such as making a few custom drum breaks from all the sounds.

Super fun but certainly not an easy one! would love to hear how you get along. If the vid gets enough traction I'm thinking about starting a competition with prizes etc!
