In 2007, Jim Rauch, a faculty member of the University of Cincinnati, began chatting online with a girl he believed to be 13 years old. The conversation was explicit from the beginning and soon involved Rauch sending unclothed photos of himself--one from his office at work.
After several conversations and the exchange of phone numbers, Rauch made the decision to meet up with ‘Cheyenne.’ After becoming intoxicated, he attempted to find the house. He had difficulty and made an obscene call to try to get directions. Eventually, he made it to the sting house, where he was arrested and taken in for questioning.
