Xerxes and Basil use their swords. Xerxes looks at Basil and gives him a heavy pat on the back with a big smile! They find they’re good at working together.

53 (NEW) Ramzi says, ‘We need a finishing move we can do. You know, together, as a team.’ Osric chuckles, ‘You mean us triple-teaming the monster gangbang isn’t enough teamwork for you?’

They walk past some flowers in a forest and Xerxes picks some and puts them in their hair. They look all cute {:3c and Osric uses his tail to put a flower on Xerxes’ head. Lily jumps up and eats the flowers out of their hair (she crunch) and they laugh.

Who did you train with?’ Osric answers. ‘The Knights of Alanoc! He and I were Lieutenants.’ ‘No wonder you’re both so… proficient…’ Osric blushes and smiles. ‘So you… don’t care that we’re monsters?’ ‘You’re just the same as me, as far as I’m concerned.’ Xerxes swoons.

59 NEW - They continue eating, Xerxes makes himself another plate. Osric finished knitting a scarf for Lily, who loves it (‘It’s not a sweater like the ones back home but it’ll do.’ ‘prrup’).
Ramzi walks over to Basil who is sketching the trees. ‘It’s beautiful here.’ He purrs. ‘You’re an artist…’ ‘It’s just a hobby.’ Basil smiles back as he draws the landscape. ‘People always got a need for sellswords, but not for art.’ Ramzi rests his head on his shoulder as he continues. ‘That kind of appreciation is lost on most people. But not all’
Xerxes asks, ‘Dessert?’ Osric says, ‘Yes, I’d love some!’

60 NEW - 1. Close-up of Xerxes watching an ornate mug full of cake batter, cooking it over the fire. Osric watches intently.
2. Xerxes says, ‘When I was younger, in the Sect of Strato, I used to get beat up for my culinary interests.’ ‘Why?’
3. ‘We were expected to only have the Sect’s tenets on our minds and deviation meant suspicion. Didn’t help that fighting was praised, so they earned some good pats on the back for attacking me.’
4. ‘I hate kids. Did you fucking destroy them?’
5. ‘They used to steal treats from me. So I made a batch of cupcakes they’d never forget.’ Osric laughs and looks way too pleased, ‘Oohoohoo, did you kill them?’
6. Xerxes smiles. ‘Unfortunately, no.’ ‘Regardless, your sadistic instinct tickles me.’
7. Xerxes drizzles caramel from a smaller ladle onto the cake and gives a slice to Osric. ‘If I could, I would lop off your head and keep it with me always’
8. Osric hugs him. ‘you are so sweet’ Xerxes has the other slice of cake.

61 NEW (character development) - Ramzi sits with Xerxes and takes a bite from his cake with his fork. Ramzi says, ‘So you’re Prince Osric.’ ‘What about it?’ ‘I thought you’d have been born with a silver sword in your hand, not a silver spoon in your mouth.’ Osric huffs. ‘Be as it may, I’ve accomplished many things without anyone’s help. Royal or otherwise.’
Osric huffs. ‘Xander will have no choice but to concede that I command as much respect, if not more, than he.’
Ramzi laughs. ‘It sounds like you seek his approval.’
‘I seek for him to stop acting like he’s better than me! He’s been saying as much ever since we were kids, and when I come back, I’m putting an end to his shit talking.’
Xerxes says, ‘...You could have killed him to save time, you know.’ Osric shakes his head. ‘I’ll consider it a missed opportunity.’
