From the almost 90 degree bends half-way along the branches, and the roots growing from the stems, it had been blown down before the big storm; It's a survivor!

I've thought about getting an auger/post hole digger for our garden, but I don't know how they'd cope with our shallow, rocky soil.
My go-to planting tool is a single-handed mattock, with a 2kg muck pick in reserve for any heavy stuff. Needless to say I'm always on the lookout for an easier solution!
