the vega is only a little slower then similarly priced 1080 in the used marketplace nowadays. Of course if you have a free sync monitor ( which are more popular and much cheaper then gsync) the 64 or 56 or even 590/580 is the way to go in some cases. 1440/vs 1080p. But unless the game u love runs a nvidia themed engine like unreal you will be happy with amd. Support the good fight to keep monopolies from taking over!

Great job on the review. You are absolutely correct that Vega is a mixed bag when it comes to overclocking. Making minor alterations can cause good/bad things to happen quickly. I was curious if you had data showing what clock speed the Vega was able to hold during benchmarks. Very few Vega cards are capable of holding 1700 core clock from my understanding. From my experience with my water cooled card, setting a GPU state 7 clock to 1727 for me will yield a steady clock speed of ~1685. I know air cooling is very different, especially with Vega, but I'm just curious.
