Knight of Alanoc - Xerxes & Osric design sketch
Added 2016-10-20 07:01:40 +0000 UTCWhen Xerxes joins the Knights of Alanoc, he is given a (undeserved in Osric's eyes, but practical in Lex's view) high-ranking position and the uniform to go with it. I'm kind of veering toward him not wearing it so much, but I've got until January to think about it so, lol. (I expect to be done with this story in February or March 2017, if things go well.)
Osric is fit but not very muscular in comparison to Xerxes. He wears a dark expression, and we learn that he's not good with people, haha.
Osric quickly has a mental image of who Xerxes is based on his flashy introduction to the other knights, but is Xerxes really fitting that image...?
Knight of Alanoc is a SFW romance, hopefully one of a few SFW stories if the response is positive. It shows how Xerxes and Osric met, fell in love, and most importantly why. I won't spoil the plot, but I can say what tropes will NOT be in this story: The Liar Revealed, Mary Sue, Manic Pixie Dream Girl, Evil Ex-Girlfriend, Date Abuse, and other rom-com or yaoi drama tropes. Here, I aim to tell a good story more than anything, and it is an effective character study on these two as well. (sorry Ramzi! you will get your time eventually...)
It's a little less goofy, but it speaks to some real life inspiration.
By the way, Lex is an important character here! Overall, no matter what your expectations, I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised ;>
