It depends what it is. If it’s dessert we have people over to eat it. If it’s a big cake we give it away. The pies we knocked on our neighbours doors and people across the street. The head is just sitting in the corner of the kitchen.

In that case, if you wanted to try again, maybe you could try making one of your sons or your husband. If you had them sit down and take a bunch of photos all the way around you could have as many angles as you need.

Sculptors apparently like to have the person in front of them so they can take phots and do measurements etc. It's tricky working from photos from the internet because getting a photo with the same expression side on to front on at the right angle is hard to find even for someone as famous as he is. I still don't think it recognisably looks like him.

3d faces are so tricky it still doesnt look exactly like him, funny though it looks more like him if you look from below - he seems to be filmed from a lower angle to make him look bigger.

That's incredible! You really have a knack for this. It may not look exactly like Dwayne Johnson but it's really close, and it's amazing you even managed to make a head look so perfectly like a head on the first try.

g'day slatesong, I did art at school with everyone else and that is it. No other classes or training - so this is literally the first time sculpting a 3d head.

Wow...Ann you are incredible artist. Of course we all know you're a fantastic cook but I love when we see how talented and creative you are at art, from painting to sculpture. Did you ever have any formal training in either or are you just really really well self-taught?

I actually had no idea that the faces for realistic cakes were made from modeling chocolate. O : Very informative.
