Update to my Patrons
Added 2024-07-18 01:36:51 +0000 UTCAs you know MasterCard recently threw their weight around some more and started demanding creators submit Photo/government Id's in order to continue showcasing NSFW work on Patreon, this was in addition to the other demands they made a few years back, which resulted in a mass exodus.
Were this a platform with reasonable customer service and response times I would maybe have considered this, but is has been two weeks since they froze my account and have yet to respond to the issue, yet they had the cheek to demand I update those details by July 28th or they will close my account. Clearly they didn't even read the message, not that surprises me as I've been locked out and ghosted a grand total of 6 times over the last few years, for months at a time.
Considering that behavior I have no justification to risk providing excessive and redundant information to such an unprofessional platform, especially not when it is just to sate the whim of some financial backer that wants to sell on said freely given information. If Patreon cannot even be bothered to respond to a critical issue, then it's not worth our time being here.
In the unlikely event they do respond to my second message that I will send today the following will be happening.
1: This Patreon will become SFW only, more as a means for people to support me symbolically.
2: Images posted here in future will be purely in line with SFW ruleset, how thrilling!
Doing that should sate their requirement that no NSFW images can be on the front page of a MasterCard run Patreon, while still allowing those of you who wish to support my health and other issue to continue to do so. Hopefully without further interference.
