I'M HOME!
I feel like I'm going to be saying that a lot the rest of Spring and into Summer. ("I'm leaving!" "I'm home!" "I'm leaving again!" "I'm back!")
I had an absolutely incredible time at the Flower & Garden Festival at Disney World with my husband and our mothers! It was his mom's first time ever and it was a blast getting to see the parks through her eyes.

Above is her enjoying one of my favorite rides, Living with the Land, which basically just takes you on a tour through a giant greenhouse lolol.
And here's a bonus picture of one of my favorite topiaries throughout the park:

We managed to avoid an absolute scorcher back in Texas, the first 100Β°+ days of the year in San Antonio.
Thankfully, my own garden is coming alive despite the awful heat! Here's a tiny tomato that I wasn't sure would be able to grow:

My fingers are crossed that more might pop up soon!!!
ALSO! I somehow managed to finish integrating ALL of my ACFoC beta reader feedback while on the trip?? AND send the draft off to my brother for a final once-over. (Video to come soon!)
Now it's time for me to do my own complete read-through, with a focus on improving flow, replacing crutch words, and making the story as smooth as possible before sending things off to my editor, Kerri! (Hi, Kerri!)
To do that, I thought it would be absolutely lovely to have some company. Our Double Stream Days this month will be TOMORROW at 6:30pm CDT and Wednesday, May 21st at 6:30am CDT. (So just twelve hours later!) You can find the link to that second stream here. (Sometimes YouTube struggles when I have 2 streams ready and waiting, but it'll pop up with no problems after our first DSD is over!)
Finally, before I go, I do want to pick y'all's brains about the 1000 Words of Summer challenge.

I participated in this last year while I was on the road and really enjoyed it. And I'm going to be on the road again for it this year! I'll be traveling to Pennsylvania to help celebrate Katie Chandler's release of her debut, BACKHANDED COMPLIMENTS.
Before I leave for that though, I was thinking it would be really fun to do daily streams (up until the 6th, when I'll be gone, so basically for the first half of the two-week challenge!) here on Patreon.
So my question: would y'all prefer the streams at the same time each day or varying times? The challenge starts NEXT FRIDAY, the 31st of May, so we'll have both a weekend together and Monday through Friday that following week. (This would be in addition to my usual Twitch streams at 9:45am CDT.)
Let me know what you think. I cannot recommend the 1000 Words of Summer book enough, and I'm excited to be able to participate alongside the other thousands of people this time! (I found it a hair too late last year.)
If you end up signing up for the challenge, they'll also send you daily inspiration to your Inbox. :)
Okay, I think that's it from me now. Thank y'all so much, I hope you have a WONDERFUL rest of your week, and I'm looking forward to seeing y'all tomorrow.
Happy writing!! :)
