Actually Ted admitted that he thought about killing Liz and Molly once. I don't remember when or to who, but at once point he admitted that he had planned to burn the house down with Liz in it when they were together but for whatever reason he didn't go through with it. A little touch in the movie I didn't pick up on the first time is that memory they showed of Liz on the bed and Ted looking at her and making L shapes with his fingers, he was imagining her without a head π¬
