Up until this movie came out, I used to think a Close Shave was the only Wallace and Gromit (cause that's the only one we owned growing up). I saw this film in theaters and that's when I learned about the other two (A Matter of Loaf and Death came out AFTER this). In my head, I like to imagine this one takes place last because it's really sad to think that Wallace got engaged to a serial killer when he had a perfectly nice bunny loving woman who was really into him. My favorite part of this film is definitely Wallace and Gromit's bond. They call each other pals but in actuality, Wallace is his daddy. We see from the pictures at the start that Wallace raised him. Gromit is seemingly the unsung hero of all the films while Wallace is an oblivious idiot getting into trouble and cares more about his cheese than anything. But here, he actually sacrificed himself for Gromit. He truly loves his baby. But of course, he loves his cheese too. So much so that it literally revived him (which isn't possible but hey, it's Wallace). I recently heard rumors that there's a new Wallace & Gromit movie coming to Netflix! Sadly Peter Sallis is no longer with us, but hopefully the replacement does him justice. Great reaction as always!
