Definitely a staple of filmmaking right here. I'm normally very apprehensive about race centric films, unless they're based on a true story, because they can easily come off too preachy. This is a film that handles the subject brilliantly. They treat the subject matter seriously but still are able to lighten the mood with a little humor and likable characters. R.I.P. Sidney Poitier, you gave us a real gem.
