A lot of people didn't like this episode, particularly Chloe. She was already an unpopular character last season and even moreso here. Here's the thing... I consider myself a Chloe 4.0 advocate. That does NOT mean that I agree with every decision she makes (that applies to every character) but I do not judge her as harsh as half the audience. Honestly, I was the most annoyed with her in the first three seasons. However, I do understand why this darker Chloe gets on a lot of people nerves (I was actually kind of annoyed with her the first time around) so let's just politely agree to disagree. ANYWAY...
I totally get why some people would disapprove of this intervention method but that's different than being angry on Oliver's behalf, which is what I noticed a lot of people were doing. Regardless of whether this is what YOU would've done (I definitely wouldn't), the important things are: no one's mad (except half the audience), no one got seriously hurt, and it worked. I've never been addicted but I do know some addicts in real life who sometimes, not always but sometimes, need a hard slap in the face to get their act together and they're all the more greatful for it. Oliver is one of those cases. Of course this was a bit of an extreme slap BUT... this was an abnormal situation.
