Until I switch from Gmail to something else, e.g. Proton Mail, It's painful to use in a browser other than Chrome. Gmail has annoying unfixed glitches in Mac Safari. Even if the breakages are small I just want my browser to work on all websites. If 5 or 10 percent of sites suffer on other browsers, that is still a big deal. Yes, developers are lazy with testing on multiple browsers, and Google is lazy about fixing things that probably benefit it anyway. I'm back on Safari, but still curse Google every day.

I wish you are right. But thinking like Google they probably know how many users they may lose... So I'm not expecting a sudden rise of Firefox or others.

Online ads are straight garbage and Youtube is a freaking sceptic tank for that: between mobile game ads and ads for full on scams that pray on vulnerable people. Google is an ad company, I understand that, but selling ad spaces to scammers shows how little Google cares about its users.
