This season isn’t considered the worst among the smallville fandom. Just probably the worst finale

There are only 4 episodes this season where no one died. That's the lowest number of such episodes of any season. By the end of this season, there have been 51 episodes where no one died. That's an average of approximately 6 episodes per season. Clark saved Lois 7 times (on 2 occasions he saved her twice in the same episode) Chloe 5 times, Tess and Oliver 3 times each and Jimmy twice. He saved Kara and Davis once each. Clark was saved by Chloe, Lois and Jimmy twice each. Clark was also saved by the Martian Manhunter, Lana, Oliver and the Legion once each. He saved himself once.

2021-10-11 02:07:08 +0000 UTCThis season is the most conflicting one for me. It's the only season where I happen to love certain episodes from it as opposed to the entire season itself. It was entertaining nonetheless seeing you react to it, especially the move to Metropolis and the buildup to Lois and Clark's relationship. I'm really looking forward to your reaction to Season 9, it really steps up in my opinion and is overall incredibly strong.

2021-08-30 22:46:43 +0000 UTCEasily one of the worst episodes of this entire series. It's one I prefer not to ever relieve again and it's sad because the first 24 minutes started off strong. We got Legio, we got JSA, we got Doomsday, we got Jimmy finally learning about Clark! Then after Clark sped away from Jimmy, this whole episode fell completely apart. So this whole time Davis the human was just as bad as the Beast? Wow? Jimmy is dead... well James is dead. I leave this season being just frustrated with Chloe, she had one of the best character growths to one of the major downfalls all in one season. If she had just let Clark put The Beast (Davis) in that Phantom Zone then all of this could've been avoided so in the end she made everything worst and Clark Kent being dead after everything that happened and Lois not being found made a lot of sense to me. Also, I was 100% team, Oliver, from start to end of this episode.

2021-08-30 21:41:21 +0000 UTCYeah the season as a whole wasn't terrible but it was definitely in need of improvement. Killing off Jimmy was stupid and unnecessary and the Doomsday fight was mediocre at best.

2021-08-30 20:38:28 +0000 UTCI completely agree. I love this show as a whole, for better or worse. I'd watch this season alone over half of the majority of the Arrowverse shows. However, I do agree that this was the weakest season and a lackluster finale. IMO (I know a lot of people don't agree), the show makes up for a lot of this season's mistakes later on, but that doesn't change that this season could've been better.
